Lots to update on, but I rarely get the chance to both garden and write these days! Will post something up when I get a chance!Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14399431490690923877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-602250472916777531.post-20756472144694633492016-05-02T08:25:41.354-07:002016-05-02T08:25:41.354-07:00A year on, and an update would be enjoyable to rea...A year on, and an update would be enjoyable to read. Easy to grow, flowers and berries for wine with berries also in apple pies.

Around my fruit trees I have alsorts of berry bushes from Goji, Boysenberry and Gooseberry, Tay and Logan as well as Raspberry. Hedges have various different blackberry.

I can't look further than the Strawberry for ground cover. I put them everywhere.

Shade and wind break creating plants you can't beat either or both the Jerusalem and Globe Artichoke, great plants for creating boundaries within different areas of a garden. Jerusalem Artichoke stems dry and form good soil conditioning dry sticks that last ages on top of soil keeping down weeds and keeping in moisture.
